Ground Sumac is a citrusy, tangy powder made from the ground fruit of the sumac shrub. It's tart flavor is a great substitute for fresh lemon juice. Delicious sprinkled on fish, chicken, over salad dressings, rice, hummus, or even over raw onions. This spice can be made into a tea and lemonade. It is one of the main ingredients in Traditional Za'atar.
